Summer Job Opportunity

Waushara County UW-Extension is recruiting for two Summer Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA) Positions to help us engage youth in grades 1-5 in creative, active and intriguing activities at sites in Plainfield.  Last year we reached approximately 50 kids.  VISTA members will help design and teach the activities using weekly themes chosen by the VISTAs and our Children Youth and Families at Risk (CYFAR) grant staff.   VISTA applicants must be 18 years old and cannot hold another job during their volunteer period.  The volunteer time is June 21 to August 15.  The monthly living allowance is approximately $850.  VISTAs successfully completing their volunteer service will receive an educational award of approximately $1100 they can apply to tuition or student loans.  The VISTA office will be in the Courthouse in Wautoma.
